Choosing Acefor your repair
Your insurer may point you to a repairer from their own list. Many policies still let you ask for a bodyshop you choose, and if the accident wasn’t your fault you can usually decide who repairs your car.

Do I have to use my insurer’s approved repairer?
Not always. Many policies let you choose your own repairer, though terms vary, so check your policy or ask your insurer. If you’d like Ace to do the work, tell your insurer when you report the claim.
Will my insurer’s repair guarantee still apply?
Some insurers only back their own repair guarantee when one of their approved garages does the work, so ask yours. Our own workmanship guarantee applies either way.
What do I need to start a claim?
Your policy number, the date and place of the accident, the other driver’s details if there was one, and photos of the damage. Then tell your insurer you’d like Ace to carry out the repair.
Who do I pay?
On an insurance repair, your insurer pays us for the work. You may have an excess to pay, depending on your policy.
